Malcolm Sweet Daddy Monroe

mm2

"You don't know where you're going until you know where you've been"

The above quote would represent a lot of us in Michigan professional wrestling. While a few of us remain that actually knew Malcolm and worked with him. There is a new generation of wrestlers because of what he taught those close to him. These lessons are not just wrestling related, but also lessons about life. Because of Malcolm many wrestlers were trained and new promotions were inspired by him.

Without Malcolm there is no D.B.A. Without D.B.A there is no XICW. There is also no MM3. Just to give the "Sweet Daddy" credit as a professional wrestler and a promoter would be an injustice. He was so much more and the impact he made is still felt today.

When I took on building a new website for XICW I felt it was important to have a page that honors him. Malcolm became a second father to me after my father passed away when I was only 13. That would have been more than enough, but he brought me into wrestling. It was because of professional wrestling I met my wife and became a father. That last part meant more to me then the career I had in professional wrestling. The wrestling part is great. But his biggest impact was the lives he created and the ones he is directly responsible for.

I lost my 13 year old daughter to cancer in April 2015. Once again when tragedy struck it was a Monroe that was once again there for me. That was D.B.A.

On behalf of his entire family and myself JD Marshall I want to say...

Thank you, we love you, we miss you and will never forget the impact you had on our lives.
